Eugene-Spokane Split Series

The Eugene Emeralds closed the first half with a 9-5 win over Spokane Sunday at PK Park, earning a split of the six-game series. Lisbel Diaz hit 2 home runs and drove in 4 runs, while Zander Darby and Jakob Christian also went deep. Luis De La Torre struck out 9 over 5.1 innings as Eugene heads into the All-Star break at 10-11 in the second half.

MLB Draft:

     Oregon:

The Oregon Ducks set a program record during the Major League Baseball Draft, with 7 players selected in the first 20 rounds. Day 2 saw 6 Ducks hear their names called, led by pitcher Cal Scolari in the fifth round to the White Sox. Oregon’s 7 total selections surpassed the previous top-20 round record of 6 and tied for the second-most draft picks in program history. Ryan Cooney was selected in the third round Saturday by Toronto.

     Oregon State:

Oregon State had 5 players selected in the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft, all pitchers, marking the program’s most pitchers drafted since 2010. Ethan Kleinschmit led the group, going to Miami in the second round, followed by Eric Segura to the White Sox in the fourth. Wyatt Queen was selected by Seattle in the 11th round, Isaac Yeager by Chicago in the 14th, and closer Albert Roblez went to San Diego in the 16th round after recording 14 saves this season.
