Siuslaw Hall of Famer Don Hunt is updating his book on the history of Vikings football. Hunt says the revised edition should be released within the next month and will include a list of Siuslaw players selected for the East-West Shrine All-Star Football Game, along with stories from the program’s past. Hunt has also been writing profiles of new Siuslaw Hall of Fame inductees ahead of the August 21st ceremony. He also welcomed the new Far West League and jokingly offered his backyard as a campsite for the Viking boys soccer team during a September road trip.
The Eugene Emeralds will be back at it tomorrow night against Hillsboro from PK Park. the team will host Moana Jersey night for the fans. Moana themed jerseys will be auctioned off during the game.
