Ems Loss
The Eugene Emeralds begin a 6 game series against the Hillsboro Hops this evening as the league enters into its home stretch. the first 3 games will be played in Hillsboro before the Ems come home for a stretch that will be 9 consecutive games with the final 6 being against Vancouver. the Ems are currently a game and a half out in front with Vancouver knocking at the door.
Football Practice
The Oregon Ducks opened their first full week of preseason football practice Monday, working out on their new outdoor turf fields. Offensive line coach A’lique Terry says competition remains strong as coaches evaluate the unit and begin identifying players for specific roles. Terry also praised returning center Iapani Laloulu for his leadership and work with younger players. The Ducks continue preseason camp today.
