Viking Football
The Siuslaw Vikings will be on the gridiron tomorrow at home against Coquille. While Coquille is in the same league as the Vikings this will be considered a non-league game to start the season. they will meet coquille again for the final game of the season on October 30th. the Vikings will have 5 home games this season and 4 away games.
Volleyball
Viking volleyball will compete today in the Marshfield Jamboree. competition starts in the morning and continues throughout the day. Lady Viking soccer will be in North Bend today for a jamboree. boys soccer will have a match on September 2nd.
Ems Fall
The Eugene Emeralds fell to Everett 11-6 Wednesday night, but rallied in the ninth to avoid a shutout. Trailing 11-0, the Ems scored six runs, highlighted by a two-run double from Dalton Wentz and a two-run double from Onil Perez. Eugene remains atop the second-half standings with 10 games left.
