Viking Soccer
Viking Boys Soccer kicks off today with a home game at Hans Peterson Field. The Vikings will host Pacific. coach Londi Tomaro says the team is starting out small, but she hopes that they will reach more players now that school is in session. Game begins at 5pm.
Volleyball
Mapleton Volleyball will be at McKenzie this afternoon while the Vikings will host North Bend with games beginning at 6pm.
Ems Win
The Eugene Emeralds opened their final regular season series with a 7-5 win over the Hillsboro Hops Tuesday night at PK Park. Jhonny Level drove in key runs, including his 18th home run of the season, as the Ems improved to 34-26 in the second half and 19-6 against Hillsboro this year. Eugene has five games remaining in the regular season. the Ems are currently a half game behind Vancouver in the Northwest League.
