Vikings/Warriors
On last night’s Point After, Siuslaw Viking head coach Sam Johnson emphasized the importance of community support as the Vikings prepare for their postseason opener. Siuslaw makes the four-hour trip to Warrenton High School in Astoria today, and Johnson encouraged Florence fans to make the trip. The Vikings will face a challenge in Warriors quarterback Dylan Ballard. Johnson says players like Ballard will find ways to put up numbers, but the key is limiting his impact on the offense. A Viking win would set up a rematch with Vale, the team that shut down Siuslaw in the preseason. Kickoff is tonight at 7, with pregame coverage beginning at 6:45 on KCST.
