Siuslaw Cross Country standout Katy Potter is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The Viking Junior ran the eighth fastest time ever on the Tugman State Park course to claim the Far West Girls’ individual championship last week with a time of 19:15.43, leading the team to their sixth straight Far West League District Championship.
Honorable Mention to Viking defensive back Dylan Alameda who set a new all-time career interception record with his fifth pick of the season against South Umpqua; 12th overall in three seasons.
