Eugene starter Justin Hancock allowed only one hit and struck out seven in five innings work last night at PK Park; and the Emeralds found their missing offense to top the Aqua Sox 9-1 last night.  Ems left fielder Jeremy Baltz was two-for-three at the plate with a double and three RBI.  The two teams meet again tonight in Eugene.

Starter Travis Gallagher went 6 1/3 innings, allowing no earned runs and five hits for the win; Jake Thompson got the save, pitching the final two outs; and the Three Rivers Sandblasters topped the Salt Lake City Gulls Blue squad 4-3 yesterday to open the Papa’s Pizza Tournament in Eugene.  The Sandblasters face Napa, California this afternoon at 12:30 in day two of the five day invitational.
