MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – A rural Eagle Point man says he will continue his decade-long legal battle over what Oregon water managers call illegal reservoirs. The Mail Tribune says Gary Harrington plans to appeal his recent conviction on nine misdemeanor charges for filling his reservoirs with rain and snow runoff that the state maintains is owned by the Medford Water Commission.

GLADSTONE, Ore. (AP) – One year later, Gladstone is still seeking answers in the killing of beauty shop owner. The Oregonian reports that the new owner of the now tattoo parlor has tried to keep memories alive of Higbee Benton. She was killed in an alleged murder-for-hire plot and was found dead in the salon she ran for 20 years.

VALE, Ore. (AP) – Fire officials say they have returned to fighting the Bonita Complex Fire in Malheur County after a lightning knocked out communications on the fire Saturday. The fire covering about 28-square miles was 75 percent contained as of Sunday morning. It’s the third-largest wildfire in the state.

TROUTDALE, Ore. (AP) – Troutdale police say they have arrested three young men after a drive-by paintball attack. Troutdale officers responded around 11 p.m. Saturday to reports of people shooting with a paintball gun from a moving car. Multiple people were hit, including one person who was injured.
