Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…
The Siuslaw Vikings won the first game 29-27, but then dropped three straight to the Elmira Falcons to open the prep volleyball season with a non-league loss at home last night. Head coach Amy Peterson said despite the loss, she was encouraged by some things.
Amy Peterson – “Saw some really great things out of the kids. They played really well under pressure. Obviously, in a game 27 to 29 there’s a lot of game point opportunities and the kids really did a great job of stepping up and making some great plays under pressure.”
Siuslaw is back on the court in Florence this evening where they’ll face the Newport Cubs; then again Saturday they’ll be at the Dunes Classic tournament in Reedsport.
