Oregon still has a chance, however slight, to be in the mix for the national championship game.  But, they’re going to need a lot of help.  The Ducks are down to number five in the BCS rankings after losing 17-14 to Stanford in overtime Saturday evening in Eugene.  Notre Dame was elevated to number one, followed by Alabama at number two.  Georgia and Florida are three and four ahead of Oregon.  The former number one, Kansas State, dropped to number 6 following a 52-24 loss at the hands of Baylor.

Sean Mannion passed for 325 yards and four touchdowns and number 15 Oregon State routed Cal 62-14 at Reser Stadium.

It’s Civil War week with post season implications on the line for both Oregon and Oregon State… the Ducks want to stay in the hunt for a possible BCS game… but they also need to get to the Pac-12 championship game first.  The Civil War kicks off from Corvallis at noon Saturday.
