PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A 27-year-old handyman with a criminal history has pleaded guilty to murder in the hammer slaying of an Oak Grove woman. The Oregonian reports that Daniel Seale will be sentenced Dec. 19 to a minimum of 25 years in prison. The body of Michelle Walker was found July 8 in her apartment. No motive for the killing has been made clear.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – A Eugene man who drove over his estranged wife’s fitness instructor while he was walking his dog has been convicted of attempted murder. A Lane County jury also convicted Francisco Ochoa of assault but acquitted him of another attempted murder charge for crashing his pickup truck last March into his wife’s car. She had scrambled to safety. The Register-Guard reports Ochoa also was convicted of animal abuse for killing the dog.

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) – McMinnville police say a missing girl was located last night in Montana. Fifteen-year-old Keri Sinner was taken into protective custody so she could be returned home from Bozeman. She went missing Nov. 6 in McMinnville.

RICHMOND, Texas (AP) – A Texas man, his 18-year-old daughter and his 20-year-old son have been indicted over a Houston-area credit union robbery by armed thieves in disguises. Ronald Catt, Hayden Catt and Abigail Catt are being held on aggravated robbery charges. Investigators are reviewing similar robberies in Portland, where the Catts formerly lived.
