Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press

HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) – The San Francisco business software company Salesforce.com has chosen the Portland suburb of Hillsboro for an operational hub. The company says it plans to move into an existing office building this summer and plans to have a bike shop, fitness areas and facilities for employees’ dogs. The Oregonian reports the state of Oregon provided a $1.5 million subsidy to lure the business to the state. In exchange for the grant Salesforce promises to employ at least 205 people at an average wage of $67,000 a year.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Police say a man who was struck and killed last night on a Salem road was wearing dark clothing and lying on the pavement. KOIN reports the man in his 40s was hit by a van about 7 p.m. on a dark stretch of road and died at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators who said she apparently was not speeding or intoxicated.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – A Eugene man accused of turning an officer’s stun gun against him during a struggle outside a bar has been arraigned on four charges. Lane County prosecutors charged Jessie Wright with unlawful use of a stun gun and assault on a public safety officer, as well as resisting arrest and interfering with police. The Register-Guard says Wright did not enter a plea. Wright’s mother and several friends say he was not resisting arrest last Friday.

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – Twin brothers who co-own a Medford security business have been accused of impersonating police. Authorities say 29-year-olds Jason and Donald Libby were arrested last week in connection with the January incidents. Police say Jason Libby handcuffed a man who used the bathroom but did not bring any clothes to the laundry business Libby was hired to watch. Libby drove a Ford Crown Victoria, had a gun and a badge. He also allegedly used force against a woman who told the suspect Libby wasn’t an officer. The next day, a real officer allegedly found Donald Libby giving a teen driver a field sobriety test.
