PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Two people were airlifted and four others taken to a local hospital after a rollover crash Saturday night in Clackamas County. The Oregonian reports that the crash happened near South Sharpe Road and Family Camp Road in Molalla. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

ASHLAND, Ore. (AP) – Ashland police have increased patrols around an environment advocacy group after one of its staffers was threatened by gold miners in posters being circulated at store and social media sites. The threats included posting the staffer’s picture and home address on social media sites. A Galice Mining District officer says the postings aren’t threats, but acknowledges the topic fuels angry feelings among miners.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland police say a man was stabbed with a machete Saturday evening. The man’s wounds were not life-threatening. Police say the stabbing happened at Colonel Summers Park when two homeless men got into an argument. The man stabbed was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Children in military families that move every few years face challenges with things such as school enrollment, class placement and even on-time graduation. But a new measure awaiting Gov. John Kitzhaber’s signature to become law would ease those difficulties. Earlier this month, lawmakers passed a bill to join an interstate compact and adopt certain uniform rules in common with 46 other states related to enrollment, placement, extracurricular eligibility and graduation for military children.
