Track and field…

Siuslaw’s Ashlee Cole had two personal bests on the way to capturing third in the javelin; fifth in the discus; in the high school women’s division at the Oregon Relays.  Cole threw the discus 117-feet, seven inches Friday evening; then came back with a toss of 130-feet; six-inches in the javelin.

Mikaela Siegel was 13th in the 100 meter hurdles, but her time of 16.19 seconds was just a few tenths off the school record.  Celie Mans ran a 4:59 in the 1500 meters to gain entry onto the Siuslaw top ten all time list and Sierra Potter ran a personal best in the 800.

Billy Jones picked up points with a fifth place finish in the boys’ long jump; his longest distance of the day was 21-feet; ten-inches.

College baseball…

The Oregon Ducks completed a three game sweep of Washington State at PK Park with a 6-3 win Friday afternoon, then coming back with a 2-1 victory Saturday.

Oregon State is on the diamond today and tomorrow against Sacramento State.

On the prep schedule…

Viking softball will face Pleasant Hill this afternoon at home for one game beginning at five.
