Beavers Looking for New Men’s Basketball Coach
Oregon State has apparently fired men’s basketball coach Craig Robinson after six seasons. Sports Illustrated-dot-com reported this morning that Robinson is leaving with a 94-and-105 overall record with the Beavers and no NCAA appearances. The Oregonian confirmed the news this morning, but university officials had not made any comment.
OSU Atop Pac-12 Baseball Standings
On the baseball diamond… The Oregon State Beavers remain at the top of the Pac-12 standings after a three-game sweep of Cal over the weekend. The Beavs came out on top Friday, 10-4; won 9-3 Saturday in ten innings, then shut out the Bears yesterday, five-nothing.
Oregon is in third, the Ducks also came away with a three-game sweep; downing the Arizona Wildcats 6-1 in Eugene Friday; then battling to a seven-six ten-inning win Saturday; and wrapping up with a 5-1 victory yesterday.

On the track…
Viking runner Seth Campbell posted a personal record time of 4:07.87 in the 15-hundred; the fourth-fastest time in the 4A ranks so far this year; as he captured third place at the 65th Grants Pass Rotary Track and Field Meet Saturday.
The 4-by-400 relay team of Jonathon Peterson, Mack Marbas, Preston Mitchell and Joe Dotson placed fourth in 3:32.42. That was the sixth fastest in the 4A ranks so far this year. Dotson was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles; sixth in the 110-hurdles.
Katie Wells was sixth in the girls’ 800 meter; Ashlee Cole competed in several events. She was seventh in the javelin and discus; 11th in the shot put.
Several hundred competitors from dozens of schools were in competition.
