Walkoff Spurs Ems to Win
Jalen Goree smacked a bases loaded, walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the eleventh inning last night to give the Eugene Emeralds an 8-7 win over the Boise Hawks. It was Goree’s second hit of the night. His first was a three-run homer in the seventh that gave the Ems the lead; but the Hawks tied it with two runs in the top of the ninth to send it to extra innings.
Game three of the five game series at PK Park in Eugene is tonight.
Sandblasters face heavy weekend schedule
The Three Rivers Sandblasters are on the diamond for two games in Dallas against the DeMarini Dirtbags tomorrow beginning at two. Sunday, they’ll be at Regis High School where they’ll take on the defending state champion Canyon Crushers for a pair of games. Those will air on Coast Radio Sports with the pregame set for 2:45… first pitch of game one at three.
