Michael Jordan also told The Oregonian that state technicians went through the offices of the governor after Kate Brown took office to gather computers and other electronics used by Kitzhaber staffers.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland police have identified a man they say fired at an officer who tried to talk to him and later killed himself after he was cornered in a residential backyard. Sgt. Pete Simpson says the man was 26-year-old Quintrell Holiman. Authorities said Holiman escaped from a halfway house in January after serving time in federal prison.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Three teachers at Portland’s Wilson High School have been placed on paid leave amid an investigation into a hazing or bullying incident. Principal Brian Chatard alerted parents to the situation in a note yesterday. He did not identify the teachers placed on leave or say how many students were involved.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Wesley Matthews scored 31 points and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the slumping San Antonio Spurs 111-95 last night for their first victory since the All-Star break. Six players scored in double figures for Portland, which ended a two-game skid. Damian Lillard had 18 points and Nicolas Batum added 15.
