The Three Rivers Sandblasters are back on the diamond this afternoon for a pair of non-league games at home against the Single-A North Coos Waterfront. First pitch of game one is at three. Airtime on Coast Radio Sports is at 2:45.

The Sandblasters will host Roseburg’s Doc Stewarts Sunday at three. That game will also air on KCST.

OSU tabs new athletic director

A former executive associate athletic director at Oregon State University is returning to Corvallis after a three year absence where he’ll take over his former boss’s job.

Todd Stansbury will become Oregon State director of athletics August 1st. Bob DeCarolis announced his resignation in May after failing to negotiate a new contract.

Stansbury has been a vice president and athletic director at University of Central Florida since 2013. Before that he spent a decade at Oregon State.
