Civil War Game One

Game one of the Civil War Rivalry goes to the Beavers.  Yesterday in Corvallis Luke Heimlich struck out 12 batters in 7 and a third innings to become the all time strike-out leader in Beaver history with 305 strike outs.  5-2 was the final score

The series continues this afternoon in Corvallis, pregame on KCFM is at 3:30, first pitch at Coleman Field is at 4 o’clock, the series closes out Saturday with a pregame at 3:30 on KCFM.

Viking Double Header

The Vikings are on the diamond this afternoon for Far West League Baseball and Softball.  The Boys baseball game against Brookings Harbor will air at 2:45 with a pregame show from Jiggs Dodson Field at Siuslaw High School.  First pitch of game one is at 3 o’clock on KCST.

The Siuslaw girls are on the road to Brookings to face the Bruin Girls in league Softball at 3 o’clock.

Track and Field

Prep track and field this afternoon has Siuslaw hosting the Central Coast Invitational meet in Florence.  Field events get under way at 4 o’clock, track events at 5:30. The Vikings will be in Gresham tomorrow for the 54th Centennial Track and Field Invitational.

 

The Mapleton Sailors are on the track at Blue River for a Mountain West League Meet.
