Athlete of the Week – Alexis Smith
Coast Radio Sports Congratulates junior softballer Alexis Smith as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Last week in the series against Brookings-Harbor Smith batted .750 with a slugging percentage of 1.667. With 2 homeruns, a triple, 3 doubles, 9 RBI’s, 8 runs and 5 stolen bases.
Honorable Mention goes to Senior KC Tatum who set a personal record in his first place Discus win with a toss of 139-07.50 and a second place finish in the shot put with 41-07.00.
Viking Baseball/Softball
On the diamond this afternoon The Vikings take on the Trojans in Far West League play. The boy’s game in Florence will air on KCST beginning with a pregame show at 4:45, first pitch between Siuslaw and Douglas is at 5 o’clock.
The Lady Viks are in Winston this evening to take on the Douglas girls at 5 o’clock in Far West League Softball.
Track and Field
Prep Track this afternoon finds Siuslaw in Coos Bay for a Far West League Meet at Pete Susick Stadium.
Beaver Baseball
Non Conference baseball in Portland, the Oregon State Beavers will take on the Portland Pilots at 5 o’clock.
