Beavers to Take on Northwestern in Round One of the Corvallis NCAA Regionals
The Oregon Duck Women are one of only four teams remaining as they head to Oklahoma City to now face PAC 12 rivals Arizona State in the College World series. After losing game one to Kentucky the Lady Ducks came back taking the next two games from the Wildcats. 6-1 Friday evening and 11-1 on Saturday. The Ducks take the diamond again this Thursday morning at 9am local time. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
Oregon State dropped game 3 of its series against UCLA in Corvallis on Saturday. Game 2 was a 4-1 win over the Bruins, but it was UCLA who had the final say taking a 3 nothing lead in the second inning of game 3. Selection for the college world series is today. The next game for the Beavers will be on Friday, June 1st.
The university of Arizona played spoiler to the Oregon Ducks for the final series of the 2018 season. Oregon did managet to win on Friday evening in Eugene with a 2-1 victory, but on Saturday the Wildcats pulled out the stops with 11 runs on 13 hits. Oregon peppered 10 hits through the game but could only get 4 runners across the plate.
