Bend Invitational Results

This weekend at the Bend Invitational Siuslaw Viking Wrestlers finished 8th with senior Riley Jennings winning four of his five matches in the 170 pound weight class and scoring 16 team points and taking a 6th place finish.  Sophomore Brady Libby placed 4th with 13 team points in the 126lb category and fellow sophomore Elijah Lacosse also placed 4th in the 132lb category scoring 15 team points. Sky-Em/Skyline Tourney

In prep hoops the Siuslaw Vikings lost to hidden Valley on Friday night in the sky-em/skyline crossover tournament.  The boys played tough scoring 56 points on the night but hidden valley came out on top 70-56.  On Saturday the Vikings met with North valley where they were defeated 48-32.

On the girls side Friday night  North Valley defeated the Lady Vikings 50-36.  Gracie Freudenthal led Viking scorers with 12 and Alyssa Richards scored 10 with 10 rebounds, 1 assist and a steal.

On Saturday the lady Vikings went up against Phoenix high school but were defeated 42-26.  Alyssa Richards scored 10 for the Vikings with Mia Collins contributing 6 points and 6 rebounds.

Mapleton Boys Add a “W”

The Mapleton sailors fought back from a 5 point deficit at halftime to take the lead from McKenzie on Friday.  On the road JJ Neece led the team with 22 points his brother Nate adding 19.  Nate Neece iced the game in the final minute with two clutch free throws to put the game out of reach for McKenzie.  Coach Eric Wolgamott said JJ Neeces midrange game kept the pressure on McKenzie.  Mapleton defeated McKenzie 53-48.

Beavers Win Civil War

On Saturday the Oregon State Beavers can claim bragging rights as they defeated their instate rivals the Oregon Ducks 77-72.  Tres Tinkle led the beavers with 28 points and 8 rebounds.

OSU Women Win

The OSU Women were on the court last night against Washington.  Destiny Slocum scored 30 points for the beavers with 7 rebounds.

Lady Ducks Roll

The Lady Ducks were on fire at Matthew Knight Arena yesterday as they faced Washington State.  Sabrina Ionescu scored her 15th triple double on the season extending her NCAA record.  Ionescu scored 17 points with 10 assists and 12 rebounds for the Ducks and Ruthy Hebard scored a season high 34 points as UO defeated Washington State 98-58.
