Ducks Over Beavers – Civil War
It wasn’t a huge scoring game for the Civil war on Saturday, but the Oregon Ducks came out on top over the Oregon State Beavers 24-10. The Beavers had a chance to capitalize on a fumble by Jaylon Redd as he fumbled the ball in the end-zone while stretching for a touchdown, turning the ball over to the Beavers. The win, for the Ducks leaves the Beavers 5-7 on the season and just out of reach of a bowl appearance, while the Ducks now head to Santa Clara, California on Friday to face the Utah Utes in the PAC 12 Championship game. Ducks head coach, Mario Cristobal reminisced about the Duck’s seniors who, as freshmen experienced a 4-8 season and are now competing for PAC champions.
Lady Ducks Fall to Louisville
The Lady Ducks suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday as they faced #8 Louisville. Louisville topped the Ducks 72-62 in the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas. Satou Sabally led the Ducks with 21 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
Lady Beavers Still Undefeated
The Beaver women remain undefeated as they beat Liberty on Saturday in Miami 68-55. Kennedy Brown led the Beavers with 16 points and 9 rebounds.
