The Oregon Ducks take on the Wisconsin Badgers this afternoon in Pasadena, California. The game will start at 12:30 on KCST with a pre-game show and the kickoff will be at 2 pm.
2019 Sports in Review
Sports history for 2019 saw the beginning of a new era with the return of Sam Johnson to Florence. Johnson is a Siuslaw High School alum that got the job as head coach after Chad Smith resigned. Johnson told coast radio that this had been his hope all along.
“This is a dream job for me. It’s where I grew up, the people I love, it’s everything I could ever want in a job.”
Johnson took the Vikings to 6-4 in his first season and reinvigorated the program and even making a playoff appearance.
The Athlete of the Year for 2019 was a Mapleton High School student. JJ Neece was a 3 sport athlete in Football, basketball and track and field.
