Ducks Drop PAC-12 Opener

A tough night for the Oregon Ducks as they fall once again to the Colorado Buffalos.  The Ducks were in survival mode as they tried to come back from a 15 point deficit in the second half.  Payton Pritchard led the effort with 21 and managed to come within 4 points but Colorado answered with a 6-2 run to cement their lead.  Final score 74-65 Colorado.

Beavers Outgunned in PAC-12 Opener

The Oregon State Beavers had their own troubles in Salt Lake City.  The Beavers got out front early but couldn’t keep the momentum going as the Utes Timmy Allen broke out with a double double for 25 points and 10 rebounds.  Final 81-69 Utes.

Ducks/Beavers Switch it Up

The Ducks and Beavers swap locations and opponents over the weekend as Oregon takes on Utah Saturday at 2pm, pregame on KCST is at 1:30; Oregon State will take on Colorado Sunday at 3 o’clock with a pregame show on KCFM at 2:30.

Viking Hoops

Prep hoops tonight has Siuslaw playing in tournament action at 7:30 at Bandon’s  Harbor Lights Middle School in the Holiday Classic Invitational.  The Viking Boys will be taking on East Linn. The girls will play East Linn earlier in the evening at 6 o’clock. Tournament play continues Saturday in Bandon.

On the Mat

The Siuslaw Mattmen will be in Bend for the Novice Invite and the Bend Invite both today and Saturday competing against hosting Bend and Mountain View high schools, along with Redmond, Ridgeview, Sisters and Willamette.
