Mapleton Routs McKenzie
Last night the Mapleton Sailors were on the court at home against the McKenzie Eagles. The lady sailor were up first and controlled both the offensive and defensive boards. On the night the girls had 21 defensive rebounds, 16 offensive rebounds, 11 steals and 5 assists in the 31-7 rout.
The Sailor Boys also had success against the Eagles. Justyce Wierichs led all scorers with 13 and the combination of Nate and JJ Neece mirrored each other with 10 each. A.J. Moso added 8 points and 12 rebounds in the 46-24 win.
Prep Wrestling
The Lady Vik wrestlers will be on the mats this afternoon and Saturday for the OSAA Southern Division Girls State Wrestling Regionals at Thurston High School in Springfield.
Prep Hoops
On the prep hardwood tonight it’s the Siuslaw Vikings taking on the Spartans at Marist High School. Pregame from Eugene on KCST is at 5:30, the girls game tips off at 5:45 the boys game follows in the night cap at 7:15 .
College Hoops
Collegiate women’s hoop action tonight pits Oregon in a Pac Twelve battle against the Arizona Wildcats at Matthew Knight Arena at 6 o’clock. Oregon State will host the ASU SunDevils at Gill Coliseum’s Ralph Miller Court. Sunday it is Oregon hosting ASU and Oregon State will host Arizona.
Pac Twelve Men’s play on Saturday has Oregon on the road to Corvallis for a Civil War match up against Oregon State. Pregame on KCST and KCFM is at 7 o’clock, tip off at 7:30.
