Possibility for Some Fall Sports

The Oregon Health Authority earlier this week issued updated guidance for schools and sports programs.  Schools, whether they offer on-site or distance, learning can allow their sports programs to participate in non-contact or minimum contact activities upon their re-opening dates.  This does not change the OSAA’s plan for moving fall sports to the late winter/early spring.  Schools that participate in distance learning will be permitted to have sports activities if they are in the appropriate phase of opening according to state guidelines.  Currently Umatilla County is the only one not in a reopening phase according to the OSAA release.
