Soccer This Afternoon
The JV and Varsity soccer teams will be home this evening hosting the Pleasant Hill Billies. Play begins at 5:30 with the junior varsity and varsity will begin at 7:30. Rain was originally forecast for this evening but will likely hold off until tomorrow.
Sailor Football (update)
Athletic Director for Mapleton Schools Carrie Dean says that due to not enough players being available they have had to cancel the football season for both the High School and the Middle School. Mapleton missed the first two games of the season this year due to COVID-19 Protocols.
Ems Still in First
The Eugene emeralds were back on the field last night against the Tri-City Dust Devils. The Ems blanked the Dust Devils 6-zip. A pair of solo homers in the 7th capped the scoring for the Ems and the win keeps them a ½ game out in front of the Spokane Indians. Regular season for the High A West league concludes on Sunday.
