Mapleton Girls Basketball Advance

It was an exciting finish to the Mapleton/Triangle Lake girls basketball playoff last night.  With just two seconds remaining with Mapleton trailing 37-38.  Freshman Morgan Milbrett took the ball to the hoop for a layup and put the Sailors on top.  Opal Burress scored 12 for the Sailors and Jahala Blake added 10.  The Sailors will play again tomorrow.

Pirate Make Vikings Walk the Plank

The Siuslaw Vikings scored 43 last night against the #3 Marshfield Pirates but the pirates could not be defeated as they went on to score 71.  The Viking boys and girls will finish up the regular season this evening on the Road in Cottage Grove.  The games will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 5:30.

 

There is no wrestling this weekend, but the Viking Cheer team will compete at the OCCA Cheerleading Championships in Salem.  They will perform at 6pm tomorrow evening.

Ducks and Beavers in the Desert

The Oregon Ducks continue to be surprised.  This time in the desert as the ASU SunDevils bring the heat with an 81-57 victory.

The Oregon State Beavers also had a tough time in the desert with the wildcats taking them down 83-69.  The Beavers kept it close in the first half going into half time with just a 2 point deficit, but Arizona Rallied in the second half.

The Ducks and the Beavers trade places tomorrow with the Ducks Heading into McHale center for a 6:30 pregame on KCST.  The Beavers head to Tempe for a 4:30 pregame on KCFM.
