Viking Wrestling – Girls
In yesterday’s State Girls Wrestling Championships in Culver freshman Macali Lade defeated Zoey Beam in the first round of competition by fall. In the second round she was defeated by Ashley Wills a senior at St. Helens. Senior Hayden Muller received a first round bye and faced Willamina/Falls City senior Esmeralda Tapia-Bravo in the second round defeating her by fall in a minute 12. Muller was defeated in the 3rd round by Kira Kerr of La Pine by fall in 5:18 seconds
Ducks Sweep Bruins
The Oregon Ducks said not in our house last night as the completed a sweep of the UCLA Bruins. The Ducks were up by 5 at the half 35-30. They maintained their lead until late in the second half when the Bruins crawled back to take a brief 54-53 lead with 5:27 on the clock. The Bruins held the lead for 25 seconds until the Ducks recovered and held the lead until the end winning 68-63.
Double Overtime for Beavers
The Beavers might not be the best version of themselves this season, but last night’s game against #16 USC proved they haven’t stopped fighting. The Beavers took the Trojans to double overtime before succumbing 94-91. The Beavers were 9 for 18 from 3-point range.
Hoop Schedule
The Oregon Ducks face USC on Saturday at 6:30 on KCST and the Beavers will take on the Bruins at 12:30 on Saturday on KCFM
