Viking Learn From Mustangs

It was an 8-2 final score with the Hidden Valley Mustangs getting the better of the Siuslaw Vikings yesterday, but the game showed much promise for the Vikings as they held tough with some good pitching from Ethan Halpin who pitched the entire game for the Vikings walking only two batters.  The Mustangs meted out some hits but the Vikings stayed close earning two runs without a hit.  The game was 4-2 until a 4 run 7th inning for the Mustangs.  The Coach Tom Shinn said scheduling top caliber opponents helps the Vikings to be a better team and are looking forward to Thursday’s match-up with Creswell.
