Siuslaw Soccer
This Thursday there will be a Siuslaw varsity girls soccer game at Sweet Home. The game is an OSAA Endowment Game so there will be an admission charge of $6 for adults and $4 for students. The Varsity boys game was cancelled due to not enough Sweet Home players. Also the JV Siuslaw Football game versus Newport was cancelled due to the lack of available Newport players. Siuslaw Athletic Director Chris Johnson says they are looking for a replacement team for the game.
Emeralds
The Eugene Emeralds head into their final three series this week as the are on the road to take on the Tri-City Dust Devils in Washington. They will face the Everett Aquasox at home next week and then finish up on the road against the Vancouver Canadians. The Ems are currently in the lead of the Northwest league by a game and a half in front of Vancouver.
