Volleyball
Marshfield continues to have Siuslaw’s number on the Volleyball court. Yesterday afternoon the Vikings fell in 3 sets to the Pirates. Results of the second game of the evening against North Bend have not been posted.
Cross Country
The OSAA is reporting that the Siuslaw Viking Cross Country teams are ranked at the top of their league. Both the boys and the girls are listed atop the 3A out of all 3A high school teams.
Eugene Emeralds
Marco Luciano hit a grand slam in the third inning last night as the Eugene Emeralds defeated the Everett AquaSox 6-1. Ems Pitcher Juan Sanchez finished out the night for the Ems striking out the final 2 batters. The Ems are still a game and a half in the lead of the Northwest League. Game two of their series is this evening at 7:05.
