Ducks Move Up in Playoff Picture
Georgia remains atop the AP poll and now has superseded Tennessee as the number one ranked in the College Football Playoff poll. With a couple of top tier losses over the weekend the Oregon Ducks have moved up two spots to number 6 in the CFP rankings which matches their AP spot. Tennessee’s loss to Georgia dropped them to number 5. The Ducks have three games left and have to get by Washington, Utah and Oregon State.
USC is the only other Pac-12 team in the top ten of the CFP ranked at number 8.
Sports Break
There will be a lull in Siuslaw and Mapleton sports for the next several weeks as Wrestling and Basketball are set to gear up after the Thanksgiving holiday. There is a Pacific Northwest Regional Showcase for Cross Country scheduled for November 19th. Some of the Siuslaw runners will compete in the event. Coast Radio Sports is awaiting notification as to which athletes will be on the roster.
