Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate senior grappler Mason Buss as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Buss was champion in the 195 pound weight category with a perfect 4-0 at Saturday’s Perry Burlison Invitational including a win over fellow Viking Dayne Muller in the Championship round.
Honorable mention goes to sophomore grappler Macali Lade who finished in second place defeating 3 straight opponents to make it to the Championship round at the Perry Burlison Invitational.
Viking Basketball (UPDATE)
The Siuslaw Vikings will be on the court this evening at Glen Butler Court to take on Taft. The Girls game has been cancelled the boys will tip off at 6pm. The games will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 5:45.
Mapleton Basketball
The Mapleton Sailors will also be on the court this evening versus Crow. Game time is at 5:30 and is scheduled for a boys and girls double-header.
