SD Girl’s Golf Tournament
Marist Catholic was the winner of the Special District girls golf tournament held here at Florence Golf Links. The team’s overall score was a combined 733. Esha Reddy of Marist also had the two best rounds in the tournament with an 81 on Wednesday and an 80 on Thursday. Jenna Young, for the Vikings turned in the best two day score her team with a combined 246, Rhianna Lane had the best single round yesterday with a 109.
Viking Softball
The Siuslaw Viking softball team was in sisters yesterday, and they had to spend the night after the bus broke down, the girls dropped both games, but stayed close to Sisters. Losing 11-10 and 9-8.
Viking Baseball
The Viking Baseball team will be in Sisters today for a Double-header. The pregame on KCST will be at 1:45 with a 2 pm first pitch. Head Coach Tom Shinn says after their error free 3-1 win on Tuesday, he expects more of the same.
“I just anticipate us going out there and playing exactly like we played on Tuesday, that’s the goal.”
There is a slight chance of rain in the forecast for sisters today with a high of 53.
College Baseball
The Oregon State Beavers will host Utah beginning this evening for a 3 game series. Airtime for tonight’s game is 5pm, tomorrow’s game is at 1pm and Sunday’s game is at 12:30.
The Oregon Ducks begin a 3 game series in California this evening against USC.
