Driver Hits Hydrant
At about 940 this morning a motorist ran into a fire hydrant near the wastewater treatment plant. The driver said he looked away momentarily and struck the hydrant. The accident broke a 6 inch water line from the 16” water main to the hydrant. The water main had to be temporarily shut down while crews isolated the break. Florence Police responded.
