Regionals Underway
The Oregon Ducks had about 75 minutes to soak in the Nashville sun at Hawkins Field at Vanderbilt University yesterday in preparation for today’s regional game against Xavier. Head Coach Mark Wasikowski hit fly balls to the outfield so they could judge the speed and angle of balls hitting off various points of the wall. Infielders got similar practice on the turf infield. Senior infielder Gavin Grant said once you take everything in, it’s just baseball. After today the Ducks will play either Vanderbilt or Tulane tomorrow.
The Oregon State Beavers will be on the Field at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, La today. They got a look at the stadium yesterday. The Beavers will face Sam Houston today at 5 pm with a 4:30 pregame on KCFM 104.1, 103.1 Mapleton and 1250 AM. The Sam Houston Bearcats are on a 4 game win streak taking 5 of the last 6 games in the Western Athletic Conference championship.
