Schutte Makes the Grade; Ducks Host Super Regionals

Schutte Makes the Grade

Former Siuslaw Golf stand out Jesse Schutte has qualified for the US Open amidst the birth of his new baby.  He spoke with the golf channel about the timing.  And how he did not have time to prepare.

“I finally got comfortable, I didn’t get in a proper practice round, the baby on the way, due, overdue, so it was not the normal preparation so I just tried to get comfortable and as soon as I did I started to make birdies and everything just fell into place.” (courtesy of Golf Channel)

Schutte had 5 birdies on the front nine on his way to qualification.  The US Open begins June 15th at the Los Angeles Country Club with a $15 million dollar purse up for grabs.
