OCHS Pet Estate Planning

The Oregon Coast Humane Society will hold its first ever Pet estate planning event in the month of February.  On Saturday February 10th, OCHS board president Mary Henry will discuss how to handle the transition of pets in the case that someone can no longer care for them. A Plan for My Pets is a new program offered by OCHS to assist people who through death or disability are unable to provide care for their pets.  Henry says that while you can’t leave money to your pets it is still possible to ensure they are cared for.  There will also be an attorney on hand to offer advice and suggestions.  The event will be at 1pm on the 10th at the Florence Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on the corner of Highway 101 and Heceta Beach Road.
