Temporary Road Closure; Commencement Exercises; LCC Summer Camps

Temporary Road Closure

The City of Florence will be working on a portion of 21st Street all day today to repair the street’s surface.  21st street will be closed from Highway 101 to Pine Street  until 5 pm today. Damage to the street occurred in March when a directional drilling rig damaged the City water main, resulting in damage to a very large area of the surface of 21st Street.  Due to the size of the area needing repair it will require a paving machine to properly complete the repairs.  In a press release the city  suggests 20th street to access businesses along 21st. as well as accessing Siuslaw Elementary School.
