Chip Seal Projects

The first is a chip seal of the section of Quince Street that runs between Highway 126 and Highway 101.  The road will be closed today during the day and no parking is allowed on the street.  The second project is slated for Wednesday and will be a chip seal of Spruce Street from Highway 126 to 18th street.  The city also requests that no parking be on the spruce street section.  The Chip seal projects are part of a maintenance of the roadways that are not in need of full-depth reconstruction.  According to information released by the city, Chip and fog seals extend the life of the roadway by protecting the sub grade from water intrusion and is environmentally friendly.
