Prescription Disposal
The Florence Police Department is helping keep the community safe by collecting and properly disposing of expired and unused medications. Through a partnership with Inmar Intelligence’s Law Enforcement Agency Drug Take-Back Program, the department collects over 30 pounds of medication each week, preventing misuse and protecting local waterways. A secure drop-box at the Justice Center allows residents to safely dispose of unwanted prescriptions at no cost, thanks to pharmaceutical manufacturers funding the program.
