Siuslaw Golf
The Siuslaw Viking golf team will be hosting the first tournament of the spring on Wednesday March 19th. 11 boys will be competing this year with Ryan Klampe, Will Johnson, Camden Linton and Micah Blankenship hoping to improve on their previous year’s accomplishments. Klampe is joined by one other senior on the roster Jackson Hickman. Four freshmen join the team, Harrison Lane, Jonah Marohl, Lincon Meier and Mason Wright. Junior’s Johnson, Linton and Blankenship are joined by Jaxon Chiang and Logan Harris. 16 schools will compete at Florence Golf links. Competition begins at 10 am that morning.
Siuslaw has also fielded a lady’s team with three seniors: Ella Mans, Emily Ponce-Zamora and Macali Lade. Three Juniors: Ava Borgnino, Jozalyn Hulet and Kiriana Masterman. Sophomore Bianca Berghuis and freshman Maely Chiang round out the team. Their competition start Tuesday March 18th at 10 am at Florence Golf links with 5 school competing.
