Mapleton Girl’s Basketball
The Mapleton Sailor Girl’s basketball team finished up their regular season last night at Toledo. their 43-39 victory lets them finish the season with a 17-5 record overall and a 7-0 league record. Their next game will be a championship game on February 21st. Coast Radio is planning on covering the game on KCST.
Mapleton Boys
The Mapleton Boys were also in Toledo last night but their results were not released as of early this morning. the boys do have one more game on the schedule tonight in McKenzie. they are currently in second place in the Mountain West Division, but await results from two other games featuring Alsea and Triangle Lake. both those teams are at 4-2 with one league game this evening left. wins by both teams would create a 3 way tie for second place.
Viking Basketball
The Viking boys basketball team have three league games left and desperately need a win tomorrow night against South Umpqua to be considered for post season. South Umpqua defeated the Vikings in their last meeting 55-44. the game will air on KCST Tomorrow with the girls up first at 5:30. there will be a 5:15 pregame.
The Oregon State Beavers play this evening. the game will be broadcast on KCFM at 5:30.
