Viking Wrestling – 3 Advance

Siuslaw seniors Danin Lacouture and Jacob Mann have advanced to the semifinals at the OSAA State Wrestling Championships in Portland. Lacouture, the No. 2 seed at 140 pounds in the girls tournament, is 2-0 with two pins and will face No. 3 seed Camille Keck of Newport. Mann, the No. 15 seed at 215 in 3A boys, pinned No. 2 seed Hayden Belcher of Rainier in 2:38 and moves on to face Elmira’s Jonah Cooper. Senior Gage Mills remains alive at 190 pounds with a 2-1 record and still has a chance to place.

Sailor Playoff

The Mapleton Sailors will see tomorrow if they have the stuff to advance in the 1A State Playoffs.  Mapleton will face the top seeded Imbler.  Wayne Sharpe will be calling the game which will air on KCST beginning at 1:45.  Tip off at 2 pm.

College Basketball

Oregon Duck Men’s basketball will be on the air at 10:30 tomorrow morning.  the Ducks are in Illinois to face Northwestern. the Oregon State Men will finish off the regular season against Santa Clara tomorrow beginning at 4:30 on KCFM.

the OSU Beaver Women dispensed with San Diego last night 83-49 with Kennedie Shuler leading the charge with her 6th consecutive 20 plus point game scoring 22.

College Baseball

Beaver Baseball is taking part in the Frisco College Baseball Classic this weekend with Houston being the first game today at noon. Alabama tomorrow at 2 and finishing it up with Iowa on Sunday at 9am. The Ducks will be in Las Vegas to face Arizona this evening at 6, UC Irvine tomorrow at noon and Sunday will face Vanderbilt at 11 am.
