Three Arrested in Florence

Three people were arrested Wednesday morning after Lane County Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at a Florence residence tied to multiple burglary investigations. Authorities say the warrant was served around 7 a.m. at a home in the 2200 block of 12th Street by the Sheriff’s Special Response Team, detectives, Florence Police, and Oregon State Police. Investigators say the primary suspect, 35-year-old Jason Scott Sprinkle of Florence, attempted to flee on foot while armed with a knife. A detective deployed a taser, and Sprinkle was taken into custody without further incident. During the search, deputies located stolen property connected to several cases. Sprinkle was arrested on multiple charges including theft, burglary, criminal mischief, possession of a stolen vehicle, and failure to report as a sex offender, along with several warrants. Also arrested were 29-year-old Skeyla Aireann Wardrobe of Mapleton and 34-year-old Kurt Dillon Eskildsen of Florence.

Florence Man Arrested in Dunes City

A Florence man was arrested Wednesday after a reported trespassing and reckless burning incident in Dunes City. Lane County Sheriff’s deputies say the call came in around 11 a.m. in the 83700 block of Clear Lake Road after a resident reported a man entered their property, set a brush pile on fire, and threatened the property owner. Deputies identified the suspect as 34-year-old Dustin Steven Lafrance of Florence, who was also wanted in other cases. When a deputy attempted to detain him nearby, Lafrance reportedly pulled out a knife and then ran north on Clear Lake Road. A Florence Police officer later located Lafrance on Huckleberry Lane and deployed a taser, and with help from Oregon State Police, he was taken into custody. Lafrance was lodged at the Lane County Jail on multiple charges, including resisting arrest, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, trespass, reckless burning, theft from a prior case, and probation violations.
