Memorial Day Travel
The Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of Oregon’s summer travel season, and ODOT is urging drivers to plan ahead and stay safe. Officials say travelers should expect heavier traffic, road construction, and increased wildfire danger across the state. Drivers are reminded to check road conditions on TripCheck.com, avoid distractions, slow down in work zones, and take precautions to prevent vehicle-related wildfires. ODOT also encourages travelers to allow extra time and consider public transportation options during the busy holiday weekend.
Free Boat Checks
The Lane County Sheriff’s Marine Patrol and Bi-Mart are once again offering free boat inspections to help boaters stay safe on the water this summer.
