The Three Rivers Sandblasters and Canyon Crushers split a league double-header Saturday afternoon… then the Crushers took the non-league rubber match of the three game series yesterday afternoon.

In game one, Doug Molzahn threw a complete game win, scattering 11 hits and striking out seven over 9-innings of work for the 7-6 win.  Ryan Smith was three-for-four with a double, an RBI, two stolen bases and two runs scored…. One of them the game winner.  In Game two, Clayton Duryee was two-for-two at the plate, but Canyon wound up crushing the Blasters 15-2.

The two teams met again yesterday afternoon in a non-league matchup with Canyon coming out on top 18-8.  The Sandblasters are back on the diamond Tuesday in Albany against the Mid-Valley Rockets.
